Its always great to find a Lovely Vegan Tuckbox in the post. The March Mini I must say has to be one of the best I've had so far! Soo many treats!

So what exactly was inside?
Soooo Many Noms
Including:

Yummy Scrummy Brownie

This was soo good!! I would recommend!

Om nom nom Brownie

Provamel Cashew Milk

I have used lots of milk from provamel and have always been impressed, again this was lovely, and i like the fact it came with a recipe card! However my favourite milk will always be apro Hazlenut! Nice to try new things though!!

Spicy Thai Peanuts
I love spicy peanuts, and wow these were spicey, but also delicious, again i would buy this!

Ten Acre when Hickory got BBQ crisps

I love ten acre crisps, they are lush and its soo nice to have the meaty flavours. I took these a snack when i met a friend who is not vegan but allergic to dairy and gluten. These really excited her and she was really impressed. Very nice flavour!..NOM

Dark chocolate covered Cocomels

Now ill admit that i didnt like the cocomels last time I got them people in my office enjoyed them more, mainly as I'm not a big coconut fan, however, these were super nice with only a hint of coconut, i think the dark chocolate must have distracted me from the taste. Overall yummy

Sarelle chocolate bar

I have seen these pop up on vegan facebook groups and never got round to trying one. I was soo impressed it was like a kinder bueno mixed with a Ferro Rocher. Pure Yum!!..didn't last seconds though ha! These can be found in tesco i believe.

ichoc Choco Cookie

I think the only way i can sum this up is AMAZING..chocolate with oreos in. It was beautiful..soo tasty and a treat i would totally buy again. Very very tasty!!

So far this has been my favourite box, full to the brim of lovely treats. Great stuff! I would wholeheartedly recommend a vegan tuck box subscription.

VeganRibs Gets Inked!

Aloha Vegans

So I have  wanted a tattoo for ages and I had no idea what to get, then i thought..something Vegan. Its my passion, my life and I want to always share my pride in being vegan so I went for a little Vegan 'V' on my foot. Somewhere hidden, and something I will look at every so often and smile. Some might not know that some tattoo Ink is not vegan, it usually contains animal glycerin and burnt animal bones to give it the pigment. I made sure I did some research and contacted a local studio called Diamonds and Dusters in the Byram Arcade in Huddersfield.
They were amazing and researched all their inks for me and they themselve were shocked to find that they are infact using vegan friendly inks already..how wonderful! Scott Laidlaw who did my tattoo was the nicest and did a lovely job helping me choose the size and where to put it, he also helped me overcome my nerves.

It only took 5 mins and I was shocked at how much i enjoyed the experience, it really didn't hurt! I am already planning to get the cruelty free BUAV bunny on my other foot!

So heres some pics of the experience!

The screenshots the tattoo artist sent me confirming the Vegan status of his inks!

VeganRibs goes to Dublin

Hello My Lovelies

So on keeping with my super busy two week holiday...me and my chummy Olivia went to Dublin, Ireland for a few days. This was my first time going abroad as a Vegan, it was daunting, but very exciting. I am aware that Ireland is not very far away, but to be out of your comfort zone can be a bit daunting. However, Dublin had me very well fed! The only things I struggled with really was Alcohol, however I stuck to spirits and what I knew to be Vegan. Shocked a few people I met when they found out that Guinness wasn't vegan!! I did go to the storehouse though as Olivia is huge fan of the stuff and I wanted to go to the Gravity bar as I heard that the views were amazing! Lifes all about compromise! I also made it rather well known in the place whenever I was offered some that I was vegan!

Anyways, enjoy some foody snaps, selfies and other pictures from our trip to Ireland.

This is Dublin at night..HOW PRETTY

Me and Olivia at the Gravity Bar in the brewery

Drunk picture of 1 euro chips!! A vegan staple!

The famous Temple Bar

Butlers Chocolate Café...AMAZING..This is a hot chocolate  made with dark chocolate and soy milk...beyond epic

Vegan Fry up..beans..mushrooms and hashbrowns

veg chilli, chips and salad

salad box

Every shop we went to in Dublin had these salad bars, a great go to vegan lunch!!

What we called; the posh spar, coffee shop, salad bar..epic..loads of vegan food

Lush Irish crisps and a salad baguette

we went to a local food market and they had VEGAN samosas

45mins on a plane..How epic!..

Soy milk available everywhere

Drinking diet coke in the Guinness factory!!

Vegan Veg Soup

Kale Crunchies in soo many flavours!!

Now although this horse is wearing the cutest bow. I was very upset by all the horse and carriage rides on offer everywhere. It was sad to see all these lovely animals stood on busy roads, where there are drunk people and night clubs, loud music etc. Stood for hours on end, then being forced to carry tourists around, made to trot and hard roads. I made of point of hugging all the horses and apologising to them that they are being forced to do that. :( As you can see this beauty doesn't looked chuffed with its forced slavery, long working days and annoying tourists. I hope one day this exploiatation will end. Poor things..makes me a sad and angry vegan.

Aside from the sad horses there were lots of positives to Dublin, including the Leprechaun Museum...the museum of modern art and Kilmainham Goal.

Standard

Pretty Dublin

We called it the giant poo...I will NEVER get modern art

Kilmainham Goal..the Iris prision for IRA members

Being  a leprechaun

Overall, Dublin had lots of lovely things to do, besides drinking, lots of Vegan food, but too many horses on the streets, don't use them!!!

I would whole heartedly recommend a weekend there!

VeganRibs goes to Brighton

Aloha

So as its the Easter Holidays and I've been Visiting my family In Kent, I decided that I needed to make the most of this lovely sunshine so I went to Brighton for the day. Brighton is one of my favourite places in the universe, its full of nice people, the seaside, great shopping and of course AMAZING VEGAN FINDS!!

The say started with a nice walk around the lanes and in particular the North Laines. This is one of my favourite areas in Brighton as it has some amazing shops full of quaint things and  a lovely selection of Vegan eateiries.!

I went to an awesome place called Snoopers Paradise, a brick a brac/ second hand store. A must go if you love vintage things and just looking through random stuff! They also have a photobooth and at only £3 for some cool vintage shots, Its very worth going. Even, if like me, you are a lone traveller!

My photobooth picture!

After an awesome time in snoopers paradise I went to a lovely Vegaterian/Vegan café called Wai Kika Moo Kau

Here I had a lovely spinach and chickpea burger with this amazing beetroot topping, a smoothie and some chips. I was Lovely and the best part was meeting a fellow Vegan called Elizabeth. We ended up having lunch together as we just got chatting. It was ace to meet someone soo lovely from our awesome community, share food favourites, ethical views, discuss the hardships and the benfits, share tips and in general meet someone like minded! So overall, a lovely meal with lovely company.

After a stunning meal I went to a shop called infitity foods, I did take pictures, but they are lost on my old phone. This place was HEAVEN. The had a whole fridge dedicated to different flavours of Tofu, more Vegan milk and Vegan cheese that I've ever seen and sooo many lovely organic things. If I lived in Brighton it would be my supermarket of choice! EPIC..you have to go if you are ever in the area!!

The North Laines

I also went to a place called Vbites, they make a lot of vegan food and meat replaements. They have a café in Brighton and I thought it was only rigt to pop in and buy an Ice Cream. I took this and sat on the beach.

Vegan Ice Cream from Vbites
Such a lovely day. I went for a paddle and then disaster stuck..my phone went for a swim in the sea. RIP phone! So I lost quite a few pictures :( but its only a phone and Im hoping that the bag of rice its sitting in is helping it revive!

I know feet freak people out..tiny pic!

To end my day I went for a little stroll up to the pavilion, to Tiger...my favourite shop..full of silly things and then caught the worlds longest bus back to Tunbridge Wells.

The Royal Pavillion

Yours truly soaking up the sunshine on the beach!
RIP Phone
