What did I eat today?-January 4th

Day 4:

Well hello there! I hope everyone is doing well, those new to veganism...WELL DONE...youve done 4 days..it gets easier from here I promise!!

So I felt really poorly when I woke up this morning. Just a head cold I think and the sadness that today is the last day of the college holidays!! Back to work tomorrow, early mornings..boo!..I am excited to see all my colleagues though and get into the swing of a new term!

So todays fooodddd:

Breakfast:

Mushrooms, humus, sweet chilli and some Vbites vegan bacon. Breakfast of the gods. I love this breakfast a lot. I only really have breakfast in the holidays or at the weekend and this one is always a great treat. Also its kind of like a Bills restaurant breakfast. Which is NOM!

Lunch

I went to tesco today and found these parathas with bombay potato in, BOGOF making them 50p each!! Microwave, 3 minutes, serve with some spinach and you're good to go! I also had a naked bar because they are yum and raw vegan!

Tea

So for tea I just wanted some roasted veggies. I cut up sweet potato, onion, garlic, bell pepper and courgette, put on some bbq fry light and put in the oven for about 45 minute. I also had some vegan sausages. Yum

Finally I was on some facebook groups and i saw a really simple pancake recipe and thought i'd give it a whirl. So easy and the pancake was lovely. Had it with a banana, some schlagfix whipped cream and some chocshot sauce. Vegan heaven!!

So in general a good day for yummy food. I go back to work tomorrow and I know for a fact that I wont be treating myself as much. It will be back to the salad for lunch for me!

What did I eat today?.. January 3rd

Day 3 of this blog and I've had quite the interest. Nearly 1k page visits. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive. The vegan community really is a magical one. Everyone is just Lovely!

Foood!:

Breakfast:

I slept in..like really slept in. Only one more lie in until I'm back at work..so I'm really making the most of it!!..So for a quick healthy breakfast I made a smoothie. I unlike others don't have a recipe for this. I just throw in loads of fruit, spinach, bit of soy milk and some juice, blend and boom..good to go. In this one I had mango, blueberries, spinach, raspberry, grapes, pineapple, apple, melon (basically I have a shelf in my freezer full of frozen fruit so I can just make a quick one)

Lunch

I've spent much of the day at my computer doing marking and planning for work, so I have a very dull lunch (actually a strong favorite) of Marmite sadwiches, asda pretend monster munch and some bourbons. Exciting!

Tea

So my final meal of the day was two portabello mushrooms on a bed of spinach with some sweet chili and some of last nights pasta  (waste nothing I say!!). Also had a brownie! Lovely!!

This did fill me up!!

Tomorrow is my last day of the holidays, This makes me sad, however, It does mean that I will be baking as my office loves some nice treats!!
Hope you're all having a top weekend!

Ethical Shopping..Massive Superdrug haul!!

So today I thought I would pop into town as I needed some shampoo and things...I usually get these from the high street store Superdrug. They label all there products and there suitability to vegans and they have the bunny logo, so you know its all legit! Plus they are really good value for money.
To get to the point there was a huge January sale and this vegan went a bit crazy!..

All of these products are vegan and were fom 99p-£2.49... Some things include: HandCream, bathbombs, nail varnish, bath salts..eye shaddow....WIN!

Well labelled with the bunny logo!..YES

I also got some bubble bath, soaps and shower gels for 49p each in the sale...they all smell lovely!!

What I actually went in for was shampoo, deodorant and tooth paste these were 3 items for £3..so again so cheap and they smell lovely!!

One of the things that stopped me going vegan initially was the misconception that I'd have to buy all my items from the health food shop and I just couldn't afford it. However Superdrug is so cheap, theres no reason to not buy ethical, every day products!!

I also went into to buy some make up. I had a £10 voucher and the 'B' range is currently on buy one get one half price. I got a few products for Christmas and I really want to just have Vegan makeup in my collection. I have a lot of non-vegan products left and I want rid. I will do a post on Vegan beauty soon :)

As you can see, keeping clean and beautiful as a vegan is cheap and easy!!
Hope this post has been useful :) :)
