Huddersfield Vegans Pizza Party

I'm on my blogging game tonight!! So recently Huddersfield Vegans had a pizza party and my favourite bar in town: Bar Maroc. Which by its title, I'm sure you can guess, is a cheeky marocan Bar Hidden above a club in Huddersfield. This bar is cosy, dark, smells like incense sticks, has the nicest staff and the rooftop terrace, which in the summer is my favourite place to be. They also have blankets..I love blankets.
I visited Maroc in the summer and assumed that their bases were Vegan, I since found out that they were'nt and myself and some other vegans requested that they are. Now they serve all their pizza on a vegan base and offer Vegan cheese!! A complete win for the Vegans of Huddersfield and a great gesture from Bar Maroc.

The pizzas they do is beyond tasty and is one of the best places to eat in town. Vegan pizza night has become a monthly event for the Huddersfield Vegans and its lush. This month we have 30 people attend from all ages/backgrounds, some people vegan, some just curious. Overall a lovely event to chill, eat good food and meet other vegans. Below are some pics I took of the event!

Overall a fab event and a great chance to look at the future of the group, we took some ideas and Im excited, as are others about the potential fun we can have as a collective group. Its lovely to spend time with like minded people, make friends and just have fun! Its exciting times for the Huddersfield Vegans so watch space. Also you can follow us on twitter @Huddvegans :)
Our next pizza party at Bar Maroc will be November the 9th! Hope to see some new faces there :)

A Very Vegan Pizza Express

I cant believe that Easter has been and gone..where is the year going? I am still having a blast during the holidays and the best part is seeing my lush friends. After a pint me and one of my long time besties decided to go for Pizza Express. On a Wednesday its 2-4-1 which is even better as this Vegan.is Skint!!!

On to the Food....

Starter

Doughballs with a tomato dip rather than the butter! Very tasty indeed!

Main

The Pianta
Spinach, chestnut mushroom, pine kernels and artichoke on a spicy Arrabbiata base finished with rocket and extra virgin olive oil. No cheese

This pizza is SOOOOOO good and very filling. I have in the past taken my own cheese and they will put it on for you! Just make sure its new and sealed and you're good to go.

Overall a bargain of a meal at just £8 each! I would highly recommend as pizza express is a really solid choice with friends and family!

Me and Dev, one of my best friends! Pizza express is our new go to place!

So, need a cheap, tasty Vegan meal...go to Pizza Express on a Wednesday! You wont be disappointed!

Easy Vegan Pizza

PIZZA

So this probably doesnt count a recipe, but this is how I made a super tasty vegan pizza. Since its friday it seems only right that one should enjoy a film and a slice of vegan yummyness!!

Ingredients:

Violife Cheese
Pizza Base mix
Garlic
Tomato puree or sauce
Nutritional Yeast
Mushrooms
Onions
Peppers
Spinach
Rocket

Firstly make a base, I use a packet mix, because , well its simple, tasty and really cheap! (especially when one is a lone diner)

Hopefully yours turns out more circular than mine. While you're making the base, preheat the oven and make sure that you have a baking tray and some baking paper at the ready.
